We’ve developed a new collection of jigsaw puzzles with the National Trust, to celebrate the amazing wildlife in the UK and the ongoing conservation that the National Trust has in place to help nature thrive in its natural habitat.
Not only does the National Trust care for the history and beauty found at properties and gardens in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but they also look after 250,000 hectares of countryside and 780 miles of coastline and the flora and fauna that inhabit them.
The National Trust has lots of initiatives to help these areas flourish including;
- Conservation grazing, a traditional system of using native cattle and sheep to help maintain grass and heathlands in a natural way. This avoids of artificial fertilizers and helps to keep areas clear to entice in other wildlife.
- Highlighting one of natures’ heroes, the beaver! The National Trust released a pair of Eurasian Beavers at Holnicote Estate in Somerset, with the hope of making the river more resistant to effects of climate change such as flash-flooding. They also help to improve the bio-diversity of the river, even attracting kingfishers to the area!
- Helping everyone invest in the protection of wildlife in small ways – from helpful guides on how you can build a wildlife-friendly garden, to promoting walks where people can go to spot animals and birds in a natural and non-invasive way.

We love working with the National Trust, and we share many common values such as caring for the environment, sustainability and giving back to the community and nature. We’re so lucky to be surrounded by so many beautiful and interesting creatures, it’s imperative that we do our best to safeguard nature and its residents for years to come.
"Your support helps us deliver our ambition for nature's recovery. Through our conservation programmes we are restoring important wildlife habitat and threatened species at the places we care for and seeking more opportunity for you to experience the natural beauty in our care."
- Ben McCarthy, Head of Nature Conservation, National Trust
This small and curated collection contains eight new jigsaw puzzle designs, each featuring a different animal or bird, including Puffins, Squirrels, Badgers and more. Every puzzle purchased helps raise awareness and funds to help the National Trust continue to care for nature, beauty and history, for everyone for ever.
Any of these wooden puzzles would make a fantastic gift for any animal lover, or for someone who enjoys nature, wildlife and conservation.
Here are just some of our favourite puzzles from the collection…
The puffin is one of the country’s favourite birds. With its beautiful markings, strikingly coloured bill it is a bird that has endeared itself to millions. Though often known as a sea parrot, in Northumberland, the bird is known as a ‘Tommy noddy’.
Unfortunately, puffin numbers have been in severe decline over the last 25 years and every effort is being made to care for the puffins and their favourite places, such as the Farne Islands. Each year, The National Trust send out a team of rangers to count their numbers on the lead up to the breeding season, adorably called the ‘Puffin Count’
Looking out across a woodland pool, this beautiful red squirrel gazes upon its own reflection. Native to the UK, red squirrels have been around for thousands of years, and thanks to careful conservation efforts they are still thriving in many places. The National Trust advise the best places to spot them, and the best tips to give you the best chance of catching a glimpse.
