Peter Bruegel the Elder was a significant Dutch and Flemish Renaissance artist. He was a painter and printmaker from Brabant, known especially for his landscapes and peasant scenes. Pieter Bruegel the Younger was often more, known for copies after his father Pieter Bruegel the Elder's paintings but also produced a great deal of his own original works.
