We won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade

Update!

We were delighted to receive this award and were pleased to meet the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs. Sarah Troughton who attended a ceremony at the home of Wentworth Wooden Puzzles to present the handmade, bespoke trophy and Grant of Appointment to Sarah Watson, Managing Director.

This year the trophy has been updated to a contemporary crackle design, which was introduced for her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee Year. Each trophy is handmade, and the crackle design is achieved by the glass being dipped in cold water during the manufacturing process. Meaning that like our puzzles, this trophy has a unique design. Our trophy is now proudly displayed at Wentworth HQ.

Following the presentation, Sarah invited the Lord Lieutenant to tour the factory and the rest of Wentworth HQ. As the event went on everyone enjoyed a few moments together to celebrate Wentworth Wooden Puzzles and this prestigious achievement. Our wonderful and talented Puzzle Tester, Jenny even made some delightful cupcakes with irregularly shaped puzzle pieces and her favourite whimsy shapes made from icing.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade!

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country and winners are personally approved by Her Majesty The Queen. We were one of 226 organisations to be awarded this year, due to our substantial year on year growth in overseas sales over the last six years.

“We’re thrilled and honoured to receive one of The Queens Award for Enterprise, especially in the Platinum Jubilee year. This is testament to the hard work and resilience of all of our colleagues who have risen to the many challenges, working relentlessly to create our fantastic jigsaw puzzles and delight our ever growing number of customers.

Since we were founded in 1991 we have been passionate about creating our unique, high quality, wooden jigsaw puzzles for adults from our Wiltshire factory.

We’re now reaching puzzle enthusiasts, of all ages, around the world. We’re so pleased that our hard work in achieving this over the past six years has been recognised and we’re looking forward to building on this into the future.”

- SARAH WATSON, MANAGING DIRECTOR

We are very proud of all the team here at Wentworth, and we thank all of our customers for their support! We’ll be proudly adding the Queen’s Award emblem to our packaging and other communication soon, so keep an eye out in the future.
