It's that time of year again, where we start to approach the holiday season. Retailers all over the world are busy while the sun is shining finalising their Christmas preparations. And here at Wentworth Puzzles we're no different. We've been working hard all year in fact preparing for Christmas
From the moment you get your hands on the box, puzzles provide hours of endless joy – you pour out all the pieces onto the table, set the whimsies to one side and let the world go on by as you put the puzzles together. Whether it’s hours, or even days later, no other feeling is quite that the one of accomplishment as you stare at your puzzle complete on the table… but now what do you do?
We've been hand-designing and making premium wooden jigsaw puzzles since 1991, so we know a thing or two about traditional jigsaw puzzles. However, we all know that times evolve and change - jigsaw puzzle trends included - and we always aim to be at the forefront of puzzle design and technology.
We’ve developed a new collection of jigsaw puzzles with the National Trust, to celebrate the amazing wildlife in the UK and the ongoing conservation that the National Trust has in place to help nature thrive in its natural habitat.
Not only does the National Trust care for the history and beauty found at properties and gardens in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but they also look after 250,000 hectares of countryside and 780 miles of coastline and the flora and fauna that inhabit them.
From the proceeds of sales of this product, Wentworth Wooden Puzzles will donate £1,500 to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. It will help the Bumblebee Conservation Trust create a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued, as well as increasing the number and distribution of bumblebees.
This beautiful, shaped puzzle was exclusively commissioned by artist John Francis to help spread awareness and remind everyone what they can do to help protect the bees.
As many of you will know, Advent is the period of time for the four Sundays and weeks before Christmas. It can therefore vary depending on the way Christmas falls. The earliest the first day of Advent can be is 27th November. This year they are on 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd of December. But most re-usable advent calendars start on 1st December and count down to Christmas Eve – 24th December.
It's always a pleasure to hear the thoughts of other puzzlers, so we're delighted to bring you a guest blog with PuzzlesByNathan! Read on to find out what he loves about puzzles, and why they are so good for young adults...
