One of the reasons we are so excited to work with English Heritage is based on our shared environmental values and interests. Sustainability plays an important role at English Heritage, they ensure over 400 Historic Properties and Gardens are expertly cared for to be enjoyed by future generations.
Of course you know this passion for sustainability is shared by us here at Wentworth Puzzles. Like all of our puzzles, the English Heritage Collection is made using wood from sustainably managed forests, the puzzle boxes are made from recycled materials, and we don’t use any plastic within the packaging process.
Made in England, every puzzle is hand-designed, laser-cut and checked individually to ensure long-lasting quality.
It wouldn’t be a Wentworth Puzzle without the whimsy shapes, and one of our favourite additions to this collection is the special English Heritage Logo whimsy included in all puzzles sized 250 pieces and above – as well as the classic ‘Wentworth Tree’ whimsy too!. Other whimsies include garden-themed shapes as well as other relevant historic icons.
About the Collection
The first collection in this new partnership is made up of 8 jigsaw puzzles for adults, showcasing some of the most visited English Heritage sites. From the glorious gardens of Audley End House to that most timeless of ancient sites, Stonehenge, there is something here to surprise and delight puzzle lovers of all ages.
Built in the early 17th century for Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk, Audley End is one of England’s finest Jacobean mansions. Sumptuous interiors are surrounded by glorious gardens and an elegant estate designed by Capability Brown and Robert Adam.
An icon of England and the world’s most famous stone circle. Stonehenge was built around 4,500 years ago to align with the movements of the sun. The site held great spiritual significance to its builders and their descendants and continues to be a place of awe and wonder to this day.
Osborne was the beloved home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on the Isle of Wight. The grand Italianate house and its sumptuous rooms reflect the couple’s private tastes, and traces of royal family life can be discovered throughout the estate.
Set high on the cliffs of North Cornwall, Tintagel has been the stronghold of Cornish kings, the site of a medieval castle and a place inextricably linked with Arthurian legend. Over the centuries its atmospheric ruins and rugged landscape have inspired royals, writers, and artists alike. Our puzzle’s stunning imagery reflects Tintagel’s more recent history, featuring the elegant new footbridge, re-connecting the castle’s historic crossing.
