CALM YOUR MIND, PIECE BY PIECE, WITH OUR NEW MINI MINDFUL COLLECTION

This small but mighty collection of jigsaw puzzles have been specially designed to provide the mindfulness and wellbeing benefits of puzzles but in only a fraction of the time. Especially now that life is starting to transition back to ‘normal’ – many more people may be coming off furlough, having to commute to their workplace more often, or are able to dedicate their time to a wider range of leisure activities and socialising as they become available.

Therefore we wanted to create a collection of puzzles that can be done anywhere and don’t require a big commitment to get started, for those who want to keep jigsaw puzzles and their benefits as part of their lives in the future, or can use them as a quick mindfulness tool whenever needed!

Our Mini Mindful puzzles are micro-sized and contain 40 pieces each – they generally take around 20-30 minutes each, so very achievable to slot into your day whenever you feel you need to clear your mind, ease your thoughts or bring your focus to the present.

We’ve launched our Mini Mindful collection in time for Mental Health Awareness Week, and we’re donating 10% of the sales of our Mini Mindful Collection between 7th and 14th May, to Mind, a leading UK mental health charity!

The Mental Health Foundation states that mindfulness can be a useful tool to help manage mental wellbeing and in turn, mental health. It’s been shown to help reduce stress levels, as well as feelings of depression and anxiety.

Simon Alexander Ong, a life coach and mindfulness expert comments: “In an increasingly noisy and connected world, the ability to be mindful and disconnect is an undervalued superpower. It grounds us in the present moment, allowing us to savour what life has to offer and engage more fully with it.

A great way to achieve this, while sharpening our minds in the process, is through the activity of completing puzzles, such as jigsaws. Mindfulness breaks such as these provide us with the opportunity to recharge, reflect and refocus on what matters most,”

Idea’s for your Mini Mindful Puzzle

  • Try doing a puzzle during your lunch break at work, to give yourself a break from your computer and leave you feeling refreshed
  • Piece together a puzzle just before bed – it might help settle any anxieties and ease your mind before bed
  • Sit down and do a puzzle with a cup of tea once you get home from work. This will help you transition between work and home
  • Take it with you to keep you entertained while you travel, for instance on the train
  • Keep one in your bag ready to do whenever you start to feel nervous or like your thoughts are running away from you
  • Hold a household competition to see who can complete it the fastest- you could even keep a leaderboard with times and agree a prize for the winner

The Mini Mindful collection is made up of 14 puzzles. Half of the images are available in our standard irregular cut pattern with whimsy shapes, including a special Mini Mindful Leaf Logo Piece – They have beautiful nature-themed images to perfectly match this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme of nature. The other half have an extra difficult cut with repetitive tesselated pieces that interlock together in intriguing and interesting ways. So whether you enjoy the soothing, serene feeling of nature or the focus commanded by a brain teaser, they’ll be something to suit. Have a look at our designs available below…
