Saying Thank you to our Local Heroes

Wentworth Wooden Puzzles is based in the middle of the Wiltshire countryside, and so our local community is very important to us. After all, it’s where most of the people who design, make and dispatch our puzzles live, plus it’s where their family and friends are.

With the current situation regarding COVID-19, there’s never been a more important time to come together as a community and support each other in any way we can.  We, therefore, want to thank and recognise those exceptionally selfless volunteers local areas up and down the country. They’re the ones who are doing all they can to help others in need, for no reward, just to know what they’re doing is helping us all at this time in need. Whether they’ve tirelessly done shopping and prescription rounds or crafting facemasks and smocks for essential workers, every part they play makes a huge difference to someone.

To say thank you, in the only way we can, we’d like to treat some local heroes to their own Wentworth Wooden Puzzle for all they’ve done. We know many of them don’t like to sing their own praises, so we may need some help finding them! If you know a wonderful volunteer local to us who deserves a gift, you can nominate them as a way of saying thank you.

We loved celebrating our heroes in our own local area, so we’ve decided to keep up #puzzlepositivity by opening this to the whole of the UK, with your Local Heroes up and down the country – so please get nominating!

• In the Comments Section, TAG the person who you’d like to nominate, and tell us WHY you appreciate them so much. It’s great to add a picture too if you can, but don’t worry if you can’t.
• PLEASE only use social media to nominate and don’t call or email – this will keep the Customer Service team free to keep answering customer queries.
• Like, comment and share all the other amazing work from other nominated volunteer’s – let’s make this a time for appreciating local communities.
• We will then choose one outstanding volunteer per week to receive their own Wentworth Wooden Puzzle. We’ll contact both the nominator and nominee to arrange for a 250 piece puzzle of their choice to be delivered to them. We’d also love to share the winner on our social media, but we’ll only do that with their permission.
