Christmas in July 2024

We know it's only July, but here at Wentworth HQ Christmas has already started!

Wentworth Puzzles HQ is currently a hive of activity, bustling to get our Christmas Collection finalised and ready for you all! The image of Santa’s workshop with lots of elves busily working away comes to mind. In fact, it’s quite normal for retailers all across the world to finalise plans for the holiday season during the summer months, but we like to be especially prepared, as our Christmas collection is the highlight of our year! This means that progress is well underway, but what does it take for us to prepare our anticipated Christmas Puzzles? And why do we have to start so early!?

First, we have to decide which designs will make the best Christmas Jigsaw Puzzles. Our product design team will source the best images from all of your favourite artists, plus some gems from new artists too. Once they’ve picked out a good selection, they like to find out what our customers think. You may have got a survey earlier this year – and if you answered it, you’ve helped to pick the puzzles that you’ll see at Christmas!

We also like to offer exclusive designs to Wentworth, that you won’t find anywhere else. Puzzles like our 12 Days of Christmas collection and our specially shaped puzzles to name just a few, so the artists start coming up with their exclusive Christmas designs for those too!

Once all the images have been chosen, it’s over to our expert puzzle cut designers to come up with some festive-themed cut patterns for you to enjoy and be challenged by. They look at all the elements of the images to design new whimsies to go into the puzzle, as well as use traditional Christmas icons such as wreaths, holly, and presents. They’ll also add those all-important dissected corners and irregularly shaped pieces to ensure they’re not easy to complete. For our Christmas extra difficult puzzles they’ll craft some ingenious, tessellated cut patterns that will test even the most experienced dissectologist.

The next step is to hand over the designs to our marketing team, who need to organise the photography of the collection, catalogue production, PR and Christmas planning. Did you know that our Christmas Collection takes a week to shoot? And its not surprising, we need lots of images for our catalogue, social media and website. It’s essential to make sure each puzzle is beautifully presented for you so you can choose the ideal puzzle gift (for you or a loved one!)

At the same time, the teams in production and the warehouse have already started making Christmas puzzles, so we’ve got plenty to hand once the collection is released. We know Christmas can be a stressful time to buy gifts, so we want to make sure that once you place your order with us, you get your puzzles as soon as possible.

We know that a lot of people prefer to complete Christmas Puzzles at Christmas time only, but there are a few people who just cannot get enough of Christmas puzzles, no matter the time of year!
