Primrose and Robin
William John Wainwright was a British-born artist who in his early career began working for a stained glass manufacturing firm, in Birmingham. It was here that he began practising and refining his artistic skills and found himself executing most of the designs for his firm, and some examples of his designs can still be seen in stained glass windows across England. He later went on to utilise these skills to create striking still-life images and pensive portraits that demonstrate his clever use of colour and light, a skill that he would have honed whilst designing stained glass windows.
With such fine detail and subtle use of colour, Wainwright's images are perfect for puzzles, and ‘Primrose and Robin’ is no exception. Delve into this wildlife scene and enjoy piecing together the flora and fauna of this classic image.
