From the moment you get your hands on the box, puzzles provide hours of endless joy – you pour out all the pieces onto the table, set the whimsies to one side and let the world go on by as you put the puzzles together. Whether it’s hours, or even days later, no other feeling is quite that the one of accomplishment as you stare at your puzzle complete on the table… but now what do you do?
Sometimes we spend so long wrapped up in the thrill of doing our puzzles that we get to the end and we aren’t quite sure what to do next. Luckily we have a few ideas for you, the next time you are stuck with what to do once you’ve finished your puzzle
Nothing says ‘I just finished my puzzle and I loved every minute of it’ like a good old picture for your Facebook or Instagram! Whether you’re an occasional puzzle poster, or your whole Instagram is dedicated to jigsaws, the puzzling community really love to see what you’ve created.
Don’t forget to post a really good caption – maybe what inspired you to do this particular puzzle, like a family holiday or a piece of fine art that you have a fondness for? How did you feel when you pieced together this puzzle, happy, calm, excited? Or if you fancy yourself as a bit of a puzzle reviewer, you could do into detail about how difficult you found the puzzle and give it marks out of ten.

Keep them for another go
Puzzle collecting is a thing! And Wentworth fans are some of the keenest collectors of puzzles we know! (Did you know that our ambassador Jim has over 280 puzzles!)
If you particularly enjoyed your puzzle, or maybe it was a special personalised gift from a loved one, then the best thing to do is to carefully place all the pieces back in the cotton bag, into the box, and put in a safe place ready to complete another time. The good thing about Wentworth Puzzles is they are extremely durable so can be done again and again and cherished for many years to come.
Donate to a friend, relative or charity
For some people, there’s too many jigsaws on the ‘to-do’ list so once it’s complete it’s on to the next! However, if you kept all of your puzzles after you completed them, well, your house might soon be overflowing with jigsaw boxes! So the finished puzzles have to go somewhere…
This is where you might consider gifting your puzzle to a friend or family member so they can have just as much fun as you did. Because of their mindfulness benefits, puzzles make wonderful presents and we’re sure a loved one would delight in a thoughtful present.
Other ideas include swapping with fellow puzzle enthusiasts – that way you can try their puzzles too! Finally, you might consider donating your puzzle to a charity or local nursing home
Break them up!
Ok so this may seem like a weird suggestion…. But it’s what none other than Hugh Jackman does when he finishes one of our jigsaw puzzles! After 4 months of slaving away, he finally places in the final piece of a formidable 1500 piece puzzle, only for then moments later to crumple up the puzzle into lots of tiny pieces while laughing.
If you do decide to do this, try not to be too enthusiastic as you don’t want to damage some of the more delicate puzzle pieces. Also, make sure the area is contained so you can find all of the pieces after, it would be a real shame if you came to do the puzzle again and there was a piece missing!
Frame them
A slightly more sane suggestion to finish off. Framing your finished Jigsaw Puzzle is becoming very popular. After all a puzzle is just like a work of art, and you’ve worked hard to create it, so why not display it proudly on your wall?
We get asked all the time by customers how to frame their puzzle so we’ve created this step by step guide on how to frame your 250 piece puzzles with this frame that we sell especially for them.
Of course these are just a handful of ideas of what you can do with your puzzles once you’ve finished them – do you do anything else? Why not post a picture of it on social media and tag us with #WentworthPuzzles so we can see what you do with your completed puzzles!
